David's school is winding down and his seminar wanted to treat us to dinner so we had a rooftop party at their condo building. They each made dishes from their country and we spent the night eating and dancing. They are a pretty spirited group!
Saturday night was much of the same as the school hosted a Taste of Asia Pacific night where all 100 students were grouped into teams and cooked to represent their section of the world.
The "oceanic" group (Tongans, Samoans, Australians etc) treated us to fresh coconuts, roasted pig, and the funniest skit of the night! They aren't the most serious group (compared to the Asian set let's say) but they can party!
Emily and Yuri were excited to see each other again and were the dancers of the night! Emily has some serious moves and spent the entire time dancing up a storm - traditional Indian, Thai, Korean, or American dancing - she didn't care!
"What, I'm just drinking a coconut!"
This started out as a "let's get a shot of the Navy guys" and fast turned into a mob scene. They were having so much fun and I must admit as sappy as it is I had the thought that night that maybe all the world needs is a big dance party! A little electric slide amongst the nations might go a long way!
