Great Day

We were invited to spend the day at our friends house in MD swimming in their new (might I say gorgeous) pool. As you can see the kids had a great time and I got to spend some time catching up with Miss C. and her sister. Sadly with them being an hour away we see them about as often as we did when we were living overseas but we take what we can get. Olivia asked me on the way home how long I have known Miss C and I realized we met when I was a mere 26 - so that's what...about 4 years now? Ha...ok, more like 14 but who's counting!

Tennis Anyone?

The visit from the cousins last month turned the girls onto playing tennis so we took a little trip to Target and got some racquets to try it out.
Let's just say that Emily looked the part but lost interest very quickly (of course). Liv did pretty well - not quite the same as Wii tennis where she beats both of us handily! Mom and Dad fared a little better on the real court.

Congratulations Olivia!

Olivia attended a Girl Scout camp this summer and took 1st place in the art competition for her age group. The camp theme was Native American Heritage and her painting was called "Firedance".

Her Oklahoma heritage was shining through - her Grandparents have taken us to see many Native American sites over the years so she had no trouble envisioning her painting.

She worked on it for quite some time so it was great to be rewarded with a big blue ribbon! The camp was so much fun, the Girl Scouts know what they are doing!

Slideshow

Well, after much trying I could not get this text to show up with my slideshow! Everytime I added text, the slideshow wouldn't load so to any of my fellow bloggers out there HELP!

Anyway, these are some shots of our summer so far - including the last day of school luau and some great weekends spent with our cousins in PA. We are keeping busy with play dates, camps, swimming, sleepovers etc. When does school start??

Happy Birthday Dad

I have to give a shout out to my Dad today. Here's some photos of him with the girls at Christmas. The first one is Dad and O on their big date to Olive Garden - just the two of them!

Welcome to Following Seas

Welcome to my first official post!! Thanks to my BFF for creating this beautiful blog for me to share the happenings of my family with others. Now you only need to go to this site (so save it as a favorite) to see what we are up too. Have patience with me while I am still learning how to add elements and fun things like slide shows. Good thing R only has 4 children and nothing but free time to guide me through this!
