Play Date!

Emily has been planning a play date with her gal pals from school for quite some time and today it finally happened. I picked up all 4 of the girls from school and brought them home with us for a few hours.

Little girls come with a LOT of stuff!

Happy Valentines Day

Valentines Day is no ordinary made up holiday in my house - no sir ee. We go all out. Starting with pepto bismol colored pink pancakes cut in heart shapes to the chocolate fondue for dessert. The girls love this holiday (who wouldn't with the amount of candy and loot they rake in). David is a good sport - sometimes I wonder how different my life would be if I had had two boys! Hope you all had a good "holiday" too!

Random photos

Strep throat is making it's way through my kids so we haven't done much lately but go to Dr.'s and lay around. Here are some random photos of the girls - yes, Emily is drinking my wine in one but notice her reaction top center. Nothing to worry about just yet!

Party Time

New hat from Dad

#10 Birthday Angel from Great Grandma

The girls had a great time last night! They are so cute together!

I found a cool candle for Liv's cake - it was a tulip flower that when lit opened up and the petals spun around and played happy birthday. Nearly lit the house on fire but very funny!

Happy Day Olivia!

Happy Birthday to our "little" girl who is not so little anymore! I can't believe she is out of the single digits. Olivia has a very exciting day (or should I say weekend) planned. We do birthdays more like Hanukkah around here.

Waffles for breakfast - open new outfit to wear to school

Doughnuts at school

Dinner and cake with best friend - presents - crafts - movie - sleepover

Homemade doughnuts for breakfast

Ice-skating and lunch

10 facts about Olivia

1. She is happiest spending time with family and would love to have them all (both sides, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, cousins...the works) together at the same time.

2. She loves to be tickled

3. She is a straight A student (except for PE)

4. She wants to be an artist, a writer or a forensic scientist

5. She is a fabulous friend to have, very careful of others feelings

6. She is only 4" shorter than her mother and can't wait to be taller and look down on me

7. She never wanted to be a "mom" to her dolls when younger - only the big sister. That was her number one dream for years

8. She tells me I am the best mom in the world at least once a day. (She also gives me dirty looks and stomps up to her room at least once a day also)

9. She loves home cooking and prefers it to any fast food or junk food you can tempt her with

10. She can't eat melon. She tries every summer and every summer it makes her gag.

Happy Birthday to a little girl who has given us 10 years of laughs!!

Another Conversation with Emily

Olivia had a birthday party sleepover to attend on Saturday night When we arrived at the friends house I needed to help her get her stuff inside as the driveway was pretty icy. The Dad came out to the car and offered to watch Emily while I got Olivia settled. Great! I saw him open her door as I walked away with Liv. When I got back he recounted the experience...

Him: "Hi Emily, it sure is nice and warm in your car."

Emily: "Well it wont be if you keep that door open!"

Him: "Uh, sorry." Door shut.

Another proud Mama moment for me. Fast forward about 4 years to the Principal's office.... (stop grinning Dad).
