Back Home

Although I would have preferred better circumstances, it's always nice to be with family.  Gary's funeral was a nice tribute to his life and hopefully having the grandkids around provided some comfort to his parents.

New high heels!!

Beautiful flowers

Lovely service

And fun with cousins!

Lots of life lessons learned in one short week.  I don't think we should live like we're dying, else we would eat ice-cream all day and never discipline our children.  We have to live like we will live to be 100, but I do think we should pause along the way to make sure our priorities are in line and those around us know that we care and love them.

This sign brought tears to my eyes yesterday.  Our little friend was badly hurt in a horseback riding incident a few weeks ago.  She was released from the hospital and is making great progress.  I see many welcome home signs in our Navy community but this, by far, is the sweetest one ever!

Time for us to re-join our lives and get back to the craziness that we call normal.  We are blessed to have fantastic family and friends who cared for us deeply these last few weeks and a powerful God who sprinkled in some miracles along the way.
